IELTS Preparation
The preparation for the IELTS course is delivered in such a way that the students are subjected to similar pressures to those that will be experienced at university. IELTS scores are required for education, employment and migration purposes in over 120 countries, including Canada Australia and New Zealand.
IELTS Preparation modules uses a variety of the texts available for IELTS preparation as well as materials developed in-house specifically for those modules.
Programme Structure
IELTS Preparation is an intensive course primarily designed for students who wish to take the Academic module of the IELTS. The course encompasses the reading, writing, listening and speaking skills that are needed for the exam. It covers all the exam question types, as well as key grammar and vocabulary required.
The intensive course will run over 12 weeks for 4 hours every weekday. The course will use Cambridge course books designed to develop a range of skills required for the test. Eighteen topic units will be covered, as well as all question types. The course will provide students with ample time to practise the skills they need for all four components of the exam. There will be regular test material incorporated into the class and three practice exams to assess student’s progression.
IELTS Preparation (Academic) will teach you the skills that you need to plan and conduct the listening and speaking IELTS tests. The speaking topics involve practicing strategies on how to improve delivery of presentations, build confidence, and deliver your speeches to your audience in a complacent way. Listening skills are developed in a more comprehensive setting to be able to comprehend English speakers in both formal and less formal scenario.
Writing and Reading
IELTS is a global qualification that tells your level of English for use in either further study or workplace opportunities. The certification shows your skill levels in Reading, Writing, Speaking & Listening with an overall English level that you can use. The course covers all the exam question types, as well as the essential grammar and vocabulary required.
