What is this course about?

This course provides students with an overview of the digital marketing landscape including the role of technology and digital media and their impact on traditional marketing models. It also examines concepts and theories of traditional marketing and contemporary digital marketing within a domestic and global context and the holistic impact of digital marketing channels and techniques on different market segments in New Zealand.

What will you be able to do after the completion of this course?

– You will be able to evaluate how traditional marketing theories and concepts translate into the digital marketing medium

– Also, we will teach you how to critically examine key trends within the digital marketing landscape and the application of digital technology to achieve business objectives in context to New Zealand.

– Moreover, you will know how to interpret the traditional marketing mix within the context of a range of digital marketing strategies and tactics.

– We will also teach you how to evaluate the holistic impact of digital marketing channels and techniques on different market segments in New Zealand including diverse multicultural communities and Maori as Tangata Whenua.

– Additionally, students are expected to be able to critically evaluate evidence and theory relating to moral, ethical, legislative, and regulatory issues that impact the practice of digital marketing in New Zealand and within a global context.

– Finally, this course will teach you how to critically evaluate implementation issues involved in digital marketing.
