What is this subject about?
You will be able to plan an automated server installation strategy, implement a server deployment infrastructure, plan server upgrade and migration, deploy Virtual Machine Manager Services and implement file and storage services.
We will teach you how to:
a) Design considerations include images and bare metal/virtual deployment; design a server implementation using Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK); design a virtual server deployment.
b) Plan for role migration; migrate server roles; migrate servers across domains and forests; design a server consolidation strategy; plan for capacity and resource optimisation.
You will be able to configure Network Load Balancing (NLB), failover clustering, managing failover clustering roles and Virtual Machine (VM) movement.
We will teach you how to:
a) Demonstrate the steps involved in NLB node installation, how to configure NLB prerequisite, affinity, port rules, cluster operation mode and upgrade an NLB cluster.
b) Assess and configure Quorum, cluster networking, cluster storage, evaluate how to restore a single node or cluster configuration, and how to implement Cluster-Aware Updating, upgrade a cluster.
c) Explicate the way to Manage failover clustering roles such as configure role-specific settings including continuously available shares, VM monitoring, failover and preference settings.
d) Analyse the way to Manage Virtual Machine (VM) movement such as perform Live Migration, quick migration, storage migration, import, export, and copy VMs and migrate from other platforms (P2V and V2V).
You will be able to design and implement a forest and domain infrastructure with Group Policy strategy, Active Directory permission model, Active Directory sites topology, Domain Controller strategy and a branch office infrastructure.
We will teach you how to:
a) Critically evaluate the design considerations of forest and domain infrastructure which include multi-forest architecture, trusts, functional levels, domain upgrade, domain migration, forest restructure, and hybrid cloud services
b) Analyse and explain the Implementation of a forest infrastructure, domain infrastructure, domain upgrade, domain migration, a forest restructure, and configuration of a domain name, Kerberos realm trusts and explain to deploy and manage a test forest including synchronization with production forests
c) Evaluate the design of an Active Directory permission model include Active Directory object security and Active Directory quotas, customize tasks to delegate in Delegate of Control Wizard; deploy administrative tools on the client computer; delegate permissions on administrative users (AdminSDHolder); configure Kerberos delegation
d) Assess and analyse to design a domain controller strategy include global catalog, operations master roles, Read-Only Domain Controllers (RODCs), partial attribute set, and domain controller cloning.
You will be able to implement Active Directory Federation Services with the configuration of Active Directory Certificate Services, managing certificates and configuring Directory Rights Management Services.
We will teach you how to:
a) Interpret the method to install and configure Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS) including the installation of Enterprise Certificate Authority (CA) and Online Responder, the configuration of Online Responder, CA backup and recovery, configure CRL distribution points and implement administrative role separation.
b) Determine the way to Manage certificates which includes certificate templates, certificate deployment, validation, and revocation, certificate renewal, certificate enrolment and renewal to computers and users using Group Policies, implement certificate deployment, configure and manage key archival and recovery.
